Bluefield, WV- This week Avery Holliday has been honored with the NCAA Division II Degree Completion Award. This award is given to high achieving academic students who have exhausted their athletic eligibility and are no longer on an athletic scholarship but have one more year left to complete their degree.
Holliday, a native of Burlington, New Jersey, has been a 4 year Men’s Basketball player at Bluefield State College. He is graduating in May of 2017 with a degree in Computer Science. During his final year of school, Holiday will continue to be involved with Big Blue Athletics, including assisting Coach Jackson as a Student Assistant Coach during the 2016-2017 season.
