Former Robinson School star Kasim Chandler transfers to UDC

Former Newark East Side star Kasim Chandler has found his new college home. Chandler is moving from Quinnipiac to the University of DC in Washington.

This past season at Quinnipiac he averaged 4.5 ppg, 2.6 rpg and 2.8 apg with 3 treys in 26 games and 17.7 mpg. He shot 28% from the floor, 14% from three and 82% from the line.

As a freshman he averaged 8.1 ppg, 2.0 rpg and 2.7 apg in 23 games and 19.6 mpg. He converted 38% from the floor, 14% from three and 70% from the line.

He left Eastside after his junior year for Imani Christian High School in western Pennsylvania. He averaged 23.2 ppg, 6.8 apg, and 2.8 spg last season. He started the following season at Imani but finished the season back in New Jersey at the Robinson School.

Chandler made an immediate impact his freshman season in Newark averaging 10 ppg.

As a sophomore he averaged 13.6 ppg.

That off-season he was named to the All Tournament Team at Gym Rat Challenge, Summer Classic, West Virginia Showcase and Hoop Group Fall Jam Fest.

His junior season he was selected All Tournament at the Newark Holiday Tournament.
