6-foot-5 St. Mary’s Elizabeth Sr. Robert Lewis has made his plans for next season. Lewis will spend a postgraduate season playing for the Robinson School.
Lewis helped lead St. Mary’s to a 19-7 record and final NJ Hoops ranking of 35th in the state. He averaged 14.6 ppg and 7.4 rpg with 16 treys. Lewis was consistent scoring in double figures in 24 of 26 games. In the Union County Tournament he registered his high games back to back with 21 and 20 point efforts.
Lewis played for Union Catholic and Roselle Catholic before finishing his high school career at St. Mary’s.
On the AAU circuit he was named Honorable Mention All Tournament at the Gym Rats Challenge.
Lewis was also getting interest from Caldwell, Georgian Court, Nyack, Ramapo, William Paterson, Rutgers Newark, Stockton, Berkley College and Centenary.
Lewis is a solid rebounder and post defender with range out to three.
He is ranked among NJ Hoops top 100 seniors.
